Ms. Jaime M. Miettinen formed the law firm of Miettinen Law PLLC in 2015 because she wanted to develop a service with unique value for the local talent market that has not been provided before. While she handles business transaction matters in general, she specializes in those legal matters within the sports, entertainment, and the arts communities.

While attending Tulane Law, in addition to being an active member of Tulane's Sports Law Society, she completed the university's Sports Law Certificate Program to have the background necessary to understand problems unique to the sports industry. Additionally, she was an active member of the Sports Lawyers Journal, which the Sports Lawyers Association publishes annually, for two years and served as Volume 21's Senior Notes and Comments Editor.

Prior to founding Miettinen Law PLLC, Ms. Miettinen worked at the Entertainment Law Legal Assistance clinic in New Orleans, LA. There, she assisted low-income artists, musicians, and grass roots non-profits with their entertainment-related legal needs.

Ms. Miettinen serves her community by volunteering through the Detroit Sports Commission and running every race she can fit in her schedule that raises money for charities. When she is not working, she also takes time to author a widely read sports law blog and record a podcast under the personal brand Sports Law Blonde™, unwind by playing piano and singing karaoke, and teach indoor cycling classes at various LA Fitness locations in Metro Detroit.
